This workshop introduces powerful learning tools for beginner coders.  Art and technology merge with projects that include animation, games, interactive stories, bright visuals and drag and drop block-based coding, while providing opportunities for physical art projects to support digital concepts. Discovering fundamental coding concepts using Scratch, a platform developed by MIT Media Lab, children will enjoy thinking creatively, reason systematically and work collaboratively, as they share their creation with each other.  This workshop is a great stepping stone towards a path to advanced coding languages. This class engages in reading and typing, so children must be proficient in reading skills.
